Surgical hand tool manufacturers are constantly challenged to minimize motor generated heat in the tool while also minimizing the weight without sacrificing the power. PCI has joined the battle by partnering with OEMs and applying our knowledge of and techniques for precise control of PWM power to develop the SHD24 servo motor drive.
By applying Space Vector Modulation, Flux Vector Current Control, and PCI’s proprietary switching and noise control techniques originally developed for our MRI products, the SHD24 is able to minimize heating in the motor and maximize its torque and speed performance.
